Awhile back I mentioned that a buddy had asked me to contribute to a group blog she was organizing. That effort has been rebranded as CurrentMom and I’ve been posting there weekly for the last little while. Here are some of my recent posts:
- Technology-Enabled Oversharing? Nah. — On whether we’re all posting too many baby pictures. I think not! Here’s another one, by the way:
- Making Media of Our Lives — Found this amazing video blog about Michael Jackson and what it means that there are now ubiquitous cameras and microphones not just near celebrities, but near everybody.
- Free Stuff — About Chris Anderson’s book Free, among other things.
- Say Everything — A few comments on Scott Rosenberg’s new book about blogs. And hey, I haven’t even finished it yet. Pretty talented, aren’t I?
- Metro is Infrastructure — People die when infrastructure is underfunded or neglected.
- Managing Email’s Insanity — Some tips on managing email, not that I’m one to talk.
- Too Much Tech on Travel — On all the technical gadget crap we carried with us on a recent trip.
- Technology Elsewhere — A few interesting tech sites.
- Gadgets Galore — Some gadgets I’ve been playing with.
- Hubble Teaches: Collect Some Data! — On the Hubble telescope.
- Book Replacements — Kindle and stuff.
- Anti-Social Technologies — how technologies allow distancing.
- Unplugging and Disconnecting — Yeah, right.
There’s lots of other good stuff to read there as well from my co-bloggers. You can follow CurrentMom on Twitter. And there’s going to be a CurrentMom 2010 Conference in February in Ft. Lauderdale, which should be a lot of fun. I haven’t 100%-committed to going yet, but I’m leaning towards it. I have to say, the mom-blogverse is vast. I’ve only peeked in at a few corners, but truly, it is quite a thing.
And hey, that’s a lot of blogging up there by yours truly. Maybe I should try to do some more of that on this site now and then!
this photo cracks me up. looks like some sort of pirate quip should be forthcoming…
