Sap Sap Sap!

Just Cute

TheLittleGuy has been very slow, cautious, and methodical about walking (he’ll be 14 months next week.) He’s generally cautious and reserved about most things so far, actually. He cruises around. He has a push toy that he pushes (very fast!). But he doesn’t quite stand independently — even if it’s just to keep a bare finger touching something else — and he’s super-cautious about each new minor step toward walking.

This is fine with me, except that he’s about 29 pounds now! But we’re in no hurry and given that I see small progress every week, I’m pretty convinced he’ll get there eventually.

But today for the first time he walked for a little bit holding my hand, which is another small sign of progress (he used to just sit down if I tried that). And then when it was time for his bath, he walked (toddled) between me and his dad the length of the living room toward the stairs holding our hands.

Later on TheGuy said: “Could you see his face? Was he enjoying it?” I said: “I don’t know! I was too busy crying!”

yeah, during our recent trip, Speck first walked across a park holding her Dad’s hand (as opposed to only taking somebody’s hand to go up or down a Difficult Step) and I just about broke apart. help! :)
