Three Random Links

Three random links from my delicious feed:

  • VMWare Fusion 3 is coming soon and will have the ability to create a virtual machine out of a physical one. So cool. If it works, I should be able to decommission my PC once and for all. Woot!
  • The people in my office would never, ever, ever do something like this.
  • Advice for professors on achieving balance – has some applicability to non-professorial tracks as well.

    I’m about 90% sure that you can create a virtual machine out of a physical one with VMWare Fusion 2. I say this because I’m pretty sure that the process that I followed to move from my Parallels VM to one on VMWare was actually designed to move a physical Windows machine. Namely, it was an application that I ran *on the Parallels VM instance of Windows* that generated the required file(s) which I then pointed VMWare at on the next run.
