One of my Omnifocus projects is “Find some new music.” I know that’s not a good GTD formulation of project, but whatever. Sometimes months go by before I get something new, but I’ve recently had a little burst of inspiration and found some new stuff to listen to:
- Rosanne Cash – The List — Really, really good. But pretty depressing. 4/5 stars.
- Dawes – North Hills – Alterna-folk? Whatever it is, I like it. Paste offered the track “When My Time Comes” on a recent sampler and that’s how I found them. 3.5/5 stars
- Lucero – 1372 Overton Park – Picked up after Genehack‘s raves. And I think I could get into this. I saw a description calling them “Tennessee blues” or something like that. But the lead singer’s voice is very distracting to me. 3/5 stars
- Sting – If on a Winter’s Night… – a new seasonal album from Sting that TheGuy picked up for us. It’s very nice. 4/5 stars
Next up: figuring out how this new “home sharing” feature works in iTunes.

“Memphis blues”, I’ll bet — http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memphis_blues
Glad you’re enjoying it…
