it’s incredible, isn’t it? wow, a little boy already. (cut that out!!)
And the weird thing is, I cannot even at all envision what he’ll be like or look like on December 26, 2010. Mostly I think: “surely not soo different! He seems so big *now*!” But of course, there will be a ton of changes between now and then. I am really suffering from a failure of imagination, here. And also suffering from just not hanging around many 2 or 3 year-olds, I think. The “2s” room at his school is still a mystery to me – I suppose I should start paying attention to what they’re up to in there to prepare.
well, I’m not even sure it would help to look at other kids, since he’s *so* big and advanced — he looks taller and more mature than Speck already, and she’s 90th percentile for her age. we find it almost impossible to parse the ages of kids in the next age/size bin…
